She'd ruined too much, she thought.
She was there to admire, they saw.
It's what they desire.
"I won't ruin anymore lives other than my own,” she said.
She was there to inspire.
She saved many souls,
yet she sat mocking her own
With a heart of gold, “I am okay,” she muttered;
she thought she mattered.
Tears in her eyes, they saw.
Pain in her heart, they knew.
Yet, they let her go...
She soared up high,
then fell to the demons and played on their thrones.
Frozen dead.
Motionless.
Yet, that peace wasn't all true —
you couldn't see through.
She'd miss you too, you thought.
She walked right through, you knew
What did you do?
You let her go
You scarred her soul.
And now, she's free.
All on her own.
It's all on you.
You let her go.
You saw her face,
but not her pain.
It's all your fault,
at least you thought.
It's all your fault;
you let her go...
The next play,
a party was held,
a lot was felt;
you sat there and needed her help
It could have stopped...
You let her go.
People were there —
many of them.
Mostly reasons
they could have helped.
Out of regret, they came,
their eyes full of shame
It was too hard to tame.
It was far away from fame.
She wasn't the same.
In a room all black,
you wondered why?
Why they cared?
Why not then?
You let her go —
It's all your fault.
It's too late though...
In a room all evil:
The devils have shown.
With tubs in hands and smirks in lands,
you let her go...
It's all your fault —
You should have helped.
At least you could...
But, then, you should.
You let her go....
Lies, they show.
You weren't there.
You didn't care.
Your feet, all bare.
Your lies, not fair —
You let her go...
She needed help;
You knew that well;
you hurt her — still.
You could have helped.
You should have helped.
But, you let her go...
You can't let go..
She belongs to every breath.
She belongs to every dream.
She lives in your head.
There, she infects the cells.
And your dreams, almost, feel true.
Just hold her tight —
She's full of fright,
her eyes now bright.
She liked the sight.
It now felt right
to let her go..
To free her soul
You let her go.
It's all your fault;
you freed her soul.
You let her go...
